This is my vision of what a T8 lap steel console guitar setup should be. It should be versatile as possible. Keeping things as small modules allows for a large variety of setups and uses.
I am from the KISS school of lutherie. Keep It Simple Stupid. Use a simple design, materials that are available locally if possible, and wood stock that needs minimum milling. Finish with hardware store finish materials and don't worry about what anyone else thinks.
I build my instruments for me. They are to satisfy my curiosity and musical cravings. Not everything works as planned, but most do. I had all of the electronics already, so only needed to buy the wood and guitar parts. I am happy with how this project turned out.
