This is a prototype 8 string Lap Steel guitar I put together in 4 days and about 10 hours labor. The Red Oak was recycled from other past projects and the other woods are left overs or rescued from the scrap bin. I figured that this $18.95 economy P-bass pickup would work. It's 3/8 inch magnet pole spacing was perfect. I always thought that allthread could work for the nut and saddle. A great sounding instrument for only about $60.00 out of pocket.
