I ended up in Hilo, HI after a 6 month voyage on my sailboat. My girlfriend and I had to start from scratch, as we were out of money when we arrived. Hawaii is a very big island. I needed some kind of motorized transportation to expand my horizons beyond the city limits of Hilo.
This 50cc scooter fit my needs quite well. It was cheap to buy, economical to run, and you didn't need to have insurance or a motorcycle license to operate. I drove it to the Kona side of the island a number of times. It was very reliable and I hated to sell it when I moved back to the mainland. This scooter is why I have a Honda Silver Wing today.
As
you can see, it
was small enough to bring into the building, up the elevator, and store
inside my apartment.
