This ride is one of my favorites. The scenery can only be described as Spectacular.  People come from around the world to partake in these sights. 

Marin Madness Spring Ride

  1. Treasure Island - 09:00
  2. GG Bridge Vista Point - 09:45 till 10:00
  3. Turn off onto Shoreline Hwy 1
  4. Take the Panoramic Hwy and Ridgecrest Blvd. to the top of Mt. Tamalpais
  5. Fire lookout  parking area
  6. Backtrack Ridgecrest Blvd. to Fairfax-Bolinas Rd.
  7. The town of Fairfax then left on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. We will stop for lunch in Woodacre
  8. Left at Shoreline Hwy 1 in Olema
  9. Exit at Olema-Bolinas Rd.
  10. Proceed into Bolinas for a pit-stop
  11. Proceed through Stinson Beach on Hwy 1
  12. Back up Mt. Tamalpais
  13. End at the Fireside Motel by the on ramps to Hwy 101



What a place to start a ride! This is about as central a location as one could find in the SF Bay area. The exit to Yerba Buena Island can be tricky, so be in the North lane and take it slow when approaching. Meet at the parking area overlooking San Francisco.

We'll ride into San Francisco, along the Embarcadero, up Bay St., along the Marina, over the Golden Gate Bridge, and stop at the Visitor Center overlook. This will be the alternate meeting spot.  We'll spend 15 minutes here, then head up to the top of Mount Tamalpais.
