East Bay Hills Ride Report
6/27/05

There was a fine turnout of 14 bikes. It was good to see a couple of new faces in the group. After meeting in Milpitas, we headed East into the hills. The hills are now brown, but the scenery was beautiful. We stopped twice along the planned route for local instructions. All proceeded well till the group got separated in the Oakland Hills. The last 9 bikes missed a turn and ended up on the ridge top. I left 4 bikes in Moraga and backtracked till I was able to make radio contact with my brother Gary. They had decided to continue on to Port Costa and would meet us there. My group continued along the planned route and soon made it to the Warehouse Cafe in PC. The wayward group showed up about 20 minutes after us. Things were just getting into full swing when we arrived. There was drinks, food, and music for everyone. All in all, a good day of riding.
