Homemade Backrest Rev. 2
One of the first mods I made for my bike was a backrest. These add a great deal of comfort and support on long rides. The original felt great, but looked rather hockey. It's time to upgrade my saddle. The dilemma is too spend big bucks and get a Mustang, with a new backrest, or a Suzuki gel seat. If I go with the gel seat, I would need to do something about my backrest.
In the back of my mind, I always wondered if I could recycle the unused Pillion pad for a backrest. Now was a good time to give it a try. The next few pages show how I used the parts to make a rather handsome backrest pad.
