Brackets were made from steel flat bar
7 1/4” x ¼” x 1 1/4”
.........................................
note: A member (Doc) of the Yahoo Silverwing Group made a set using 1" wide flat bar.
This fit into the channel of the stock bracket, which could then be used as a
drill guide. If I were making a new set, that is the size material I would use.

5mm hex
screws under seat

This is a very comfortable setup. I planned to pad
the lower brackets, but found I don't feel them while riding.
This can be changed back to stock in a few minutes.
Total cost was less than $3.00.
