IMHO a motorcycle needs to have at least some storage. I like to carry enough stuff
to cope with the changing situations I find while out on the road.
Hardbags are great, but can be very expensive and difficult to
find ones that will fit the bike. I ran across a bag that will
kill two birds with one stone. The Cruiser Bag. It straps to the pillion area, or rear rack, and can be a driver's backrest also.
The ends are held with snaps and the framework is a 13" extruded PVC pipe.
This is the most comfortable driver's backrest I have come across.
I could cruise all day with this setup.
Enough storage for most any road trip.
I purchased the medium size without studs.
