This is the first Dew Drop tenor uke I built. It was meant to be a test bed for a number of design and construction ideas. It served it's purpose admirably.
Here are the design ideas I was testing:
1) Radial bracing sound board design.
2) Side sound port
3) Non standard SB sound holes.
4) Radial-cut mahogany veneers for body wood.
5) Epoxied on neck join and fret board.
6) Epoxied butt joined head/neck/volute construction.
7) Re-usable parts.
To see how some of these worked out, I had to destroy the instrument to see how the design and materials failed (or worked as planned).
