This is the reference pin of my slotting sled. It is a piece of an old hacksaw blade. I used it to cut the slot it's in then cut a small section out for the pin. This assures a tight fit. I used a drop of super glue to make it permanent. Leave a little room for the fret board and the slotting blade to pass below the pin. It lines up with the cutting blade.
