Fretboard and bridge taped off for final finishing. It gets 3 to 5 coats of Rockler WonderCote Semi-Gloss water based urethane. I do it in 4 steps. top, then sides, back, then the neck. I wait for the urethane to be dry to the touch (only about 10 - 15 minutes) then move on to the next area. This avoids runs and handling issues. The uke is finished in less than 4 hours. I let this dry for at least 2 hours then buff with a clean terry cloth towel.
