For me, building a cigar box style ukulele is about simplicity. This is about as simple as I can make it. The best sounding cigar box ukes, that I've heard, were not made from an actual cigar box, but from a cedar box made to resemble a cigar box. Each baritone instrument was made from a verticle grain cedar fence board I picked up at my local hardware store. Here I'm gluing up the sides and sound board.
